The Middle East is a region where automobile is king and fuel is cheap, frequently leaving little incentive to find more environmentally-friendly methods of moving around.

But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have actually risen the price of oil, the problem of discovering alternative of fuel has come into sharp focus.

In an area that has among the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one service is benefiting from the growing pressure to find options to oil. It’s established the Middle East’s first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It’s showing lucrative too, already their client-list includes McDonald’s.
